Rita Riddle Scholarship

I won the Rita Riddle Scholarship to the Hindman Settlement Appalachian Writers Workshop this summer! I submitted eleven pages of poetry to the competition a few weeks ago and just found out last night when Aleah and I got back from the Wailin' Jennys concert at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. The concert was great--early happy birthday for Aleah. When we got home early this morning (a little after 1:00 I think), I checked my email (I'm obsessive and compulsive about it) and saw that I had won the scholarship. I will upload later some of the poems that were in the collection that I have not yet put on the blog.
